Event Signage & Wayfinding
Skills: Branding, layout design, information hierarchy, Print production setup
Mount Royal University events often combine information, interaction, and community-building to help students feel supported and more connected to campus life.
Backround
I was hired by Mount Royal University to design event signage and wayfinding materials that helped students navigate MRU events easily and confidently.
The Opportunity
I aimed to create on-brand visuals that improved flow, reduced confusion, and helped students quickly find key services and resources.
My Area of Focus
Whether promoting an event in person or online, it was important to me to maintain cohesive branding with clear, direct visuals. This ensured the messaging stayed consistent, easy to understand, and recognizable across every touchpoint.
I reviewed the event goals, key info, and audience needs.
I looked at the space layout, whether physical or digital, to discover how students encounter the piece.
I planned the messaging hierarchy and designed on-brand signage that was easy to scan.
Concept Development
I designed posters for multiple events using a consistent visual style while adapting the layout, messaging, and imagery for each audience. Each design focused on clear hierarchy, quick readability, and strong brand alignment.
